We are looking for support workers, to join our friendly team at our Supported Living Service in Bognor Regis.

We have the following roles available:

Part time, permanent role. A 30 hour per week maternity leave cover (initial six month fixed term contract) and we are also looking for people to join our team of Bank staff, which is a flexible role meaning that you can determine how many hours you work each week.

Shifts will include mornings, evenings, every other weekend as well as some sleep-in shifts.

People we support live in their own flats in the community and we help them manage their day-to-day lives and realise their dreams. People have varied abilities; most need support with cooking, cleaning, managing their home, and personal support including medication and personal care. Some need behavioural support.   We actively encourage people to pursue their dreams, and to try out new experiences, and we would welcome anyone with a sense of adventure, enthusiasm, and lots of passion to apply. Please note that living an 'ordinary' life means being able to go out and stay out late such as visiting pubs, clubs, trips to the theatre, cinema etc. as such shift times will vary. So, if you think variety is the spice of life, then this may be the role for you! One day you may be supporting someone to menu plan and grocery shop, the next you may be out at the cinema or at a concert or have the opportunity to support on a Cruise holiday!

We are members of the Gr8 Support movement, and are passionate about providing Gr8 support. As decided by people with learning disabilities themselves, the Eight qualities that make a great support worker are; Adventurous, Friendly, Encouraging, Supportive of my loving, Connecting, Advocating, Respectful and Resourceful. So, if you think this is you, please do apply! You can find out about the Gr8 Support movement here;  http://www.paradigm-uk.org/gr8-support-movement

For more information about the role please contact Claire Lambert or Debbie Perry on 01243 820817.
