We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified Social Worker to join the Sensory Services Team. You will be responsible for working with Deaf and Deafblind Adults within the Self Directed Support Process, assisting customers to assess their needs and to identify possible solutions, to enable people to retain their independence and have more choice and control over how their needs are met. You will have an understanding of the personalisation agenda, be committed to customer focused working as well as experience of working in partnership with other agencies. Knowledge and understanding of the issues relating to work with minority groups are essential, along with good communication and negotiation skills. You will need to be a qualified Social Worker with Deaf Awareness and a minimum of CACDP Level 11 BSL or equivalent. Further training and opportunities for ongoing professional development will be available to you.
