This post is critical to the development of the Aldingbourne Trust and we are looking for a Public Relations and Communications Assistant with a proven track record. You will work alongside a dynamic and high achieving marketing team to raise awareness of the Aldingbourne Trust.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external organisations to promote the Aldingbourne Trust by creating innovative, exciting and engaging editorial content for local press publications, newsletters, blogs, social media and website. Actively promote news, success stories, events and project promotions via a variety of social media platforms. Creatively bringing social media alive with related copy, promotions and images and utilising all social media tools to execute this.

You will plan, develop and implement Public Relation strategies within Sussex and Portsmouth including local press, radio, TV and other media channels. You will research and submit creative entries to local and national awards. You will be responsible for generating leads and opportunities in the local community and creatively encouraging the public to support us by visiting and buying our products and services by attending networking events.

You will support the team to raise awareness of the Trust by delivering Trust talks across Sussex and Hampshire which will include occasional weekend/evening working and involve you to travel to the desired location. As an ambassador for the Trust you will collaborate with businesses, key stakeholders and members of the public within the local community.

The contractual hours for this post are 21 hours per week.   Due to the nature of this role, some flexibility is required to work occasional weekends and evenings.
