This key post within the Aldingbourne Trust has two key roles:

Supporting the Senior Support Site and Open Farm Events Co-Ordinator in promoting and raising the profile of the Trust by running events for our target customers to generate additional income and support for the Aldingbourne Country Centre.  This will include planning, running, administrating and providing active support for events at the Aldingbourne Country Centre. This will also include support for the retail and site team as needed.   A key requirement of this role is to ensure we run well supported events to increase our income and visitor experience.

To check and help ensure the play and activity equipment and environment is safe for visitors, in particular young children who will be using the facilities and equipment.  A key requirement is to undertake or coordinate regular, agreed recorded inspections of the equipment, facilities and environment so all is safe for children and other visitors.  This will include open / close checks and preparation for the sand and water paly equipment, daily inspection of the other equipment and site for example and for illustration, the train and castle play equipment, woodland walk, mini golf and Friends Garden.   The role will also include 'trouble shooting' this may include, for example, rectification (if feasible) and/or removing access to equipment.

The contractual hours for this position is 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days from 7 (dependent on rotas), including some weekends and public holidays
