Part time appointment working two days each week on Mondays and Tuesdays

Hours during term time are 10 am - 6 pm and non-term time 8 am - 4 pm

The Residential Services Assistant will provide a professional, helpful and welcoming Reception service to students, staff and visitors to the University and act as the first point of contact in the Conference and Accommodation Office, responding positively to queries.


With a professional and flexible approach to work, you will assist with the organisation and arrangements for departmental events, attending and assisting at events as required, including outside office hours. The post holder will work with confidence, maintaining the highest level of customer experience to students and visitors, integrity, confidentiality and a professional image of the conference and accommodation service.


This is a busy and varied role assisting with numerous queries from conference and students in situ at rooms and venues across our campuses and responsible for the day-to-day sorting, delivery and administration of the resident student postal system. The successful applicant will also provide general administrative support to the department including note taking at a variety of meetings and student disciplinary hearings. It''s essential you have excellent written communication skills and the ability to undertake a wide range of tasks using Microsoft Office applications and other bespoke IT systems.
