We have three opportunities available within the Planning Policy & Strategic Development Team of the Planning & Economic Regeneration Directorate. The Strategic Development Team Leader position – To lead a small team of Planning Officers managing the case load of large strategic planning applications within the District. The Principal Planning Officer position – To be involved in all aspects of development management; the Strategic Development part of the post will focus on larger strategic applications and the Development Control part of the post on complex applications within the District. These positions have an extensive amount of public contact, the occasional presentation of items at Committee, attendance at public meetings, hearings and other meetings as required. Some out of office hours working is part of the job requirement.
