Here at West Sussex County Council we have a clear vision for our county which sets out what we want to achieve with residents. We are investing in our Adults Social Care Services to support our priorities and in preparation for new responsibilities under the Care Act which start to become effective from April 2015. To help us develop and grow our service, we are looking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals to a number of social care roles. The roles will cover Chichester, Bognor, Worthing (covering Littlehampton), Shoreham, Horsham (covering Mid Sussex) and Crawley, on both a full-time and part-time basis. We want to ensure residents, families and communities have the right support in place to enable them to confidently prepare for later life so they can live independently for as long as possible and remain economically active for longer. As an enthusiastic, forward thinking HCPC registered, qualified Occupational Therapist, you will have excellent communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a busy working environment. You will work primarily with adults in their own homes, undertaking assessments and helping to make arrangements that promote independence, particularly through the use of techniques, equipment and adaptations. You will be committed to improving the wellbeing of your customers, through a person centred, outcome based approach.
