Part Time Payroll Assistant

Permanent Position

Salary circa £20-23k pro rata

Circa 28 hours per week (negotiable) + excellent holiday allowance

Hove, East Sussex (parking available)

Attractive part time & flexible opportunity to join an award-winning organisation in a newly created role within their finance team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this person will play a pivotal role in ensuring the payroll function operates effectively.

My client is seeking a diligent, hard working individual who has existing experience of payroll administration. The successful individual will very much be a team player who has excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word.

Role overview:

• Processing and reconciling the monthly payroll ensuring accurate information is sent to our payroll bureau (i.e. starters, leavers, SMP, SSP, changes of details, etc.).
• Ensuring timesheets are correct
• Data input monthly reports for lottery, pension schemes etc
• Dealing with various payroll queries
• Help in implementing a new database and several associated projects
• Assessing and remodelling existing payroll processes to drive efficiencies
• Working towards implementing a standardised payroll practice across all business areas
