Catch22 is a national charity that works with young people facing tough situations, encouraging and guiding them through thick and thin. We work with over 37,000 young people in 150 neighbourhoods across the UK. By joining us you'll be helping to give young people a chance to get on in life. Providing essential support to young people - many of whom are disaffected, and some of whom are young offenders - you'll help them develop the skills and confidence they need to live independently. The role will involve: · Assessing the physical, emotional and practical support they need · Carrying out risk assessments · Preparing in-depth written reports · Keeping comprehensive and up-to-date client records and files · Ensuring young people receive all the benefits they're entitled to · Working evenings and weekends as necessary · Actively encouraging young people to get involved in our service delivery · Assessing individual service users' readiness to live independently · Drawing up resettlement plans and arranging for move-on accommodation You'll need: · Knowledge of issues affecting young people · Proven risk assessment skills · Plenty of initiative · Good level of IT literacy · Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours pager service · Ability to motivate young people and inspire positive change · Strong professional boundaries · Ability to travel between different locations as required If you've got the skills we're looking for, this is a great opportunity to make a difference to young people at a crucial time in their lives.
