We are a busy, vibrant call centre operating within the financial services market, selling and offering pre and post-sale support to customers interested in travel insurance. We provide insurance under our own brand of Southdowns Insurance and provide sales and service support to an international insurance intermediary.

We are located in a bright and airy modern office in central Worthing.

We have vacancies for two full time or three part time flexible sales and service agents to join our team. The role involves speaking to customers in our inbound call centre to arrange their insurance, assist with their queries, respond to emails and generally provide excellent customer service at all times.

Successful candidates are likely to be those that have a level of confidence and can communicate in a clear, professional and friendly manner, they will also require good literary skills to ensure that email communication is of a high standard and basic computer skills with a high level of input accuracy.

We are looking for individuals that are prepared to commit to the business who will work well in a team environment but that can also self-motivate.

Prior call centre or customer service experience is not absolutely necessary as we provide a training programme (approximately 80 100 hours) that covers a variety of areas during which we will introduce the knowledge and skills required to perform well within our environment.

The environment in which we work is supportive to ensure that, at all times the information provided to our customers by our agents can be relied upon, Duty Managers and senior agents are available over all opening hours to mentor and assist.

Unlike some call centres that sell products, our agents are not pressurised into meeting sales targets, we are not in the business of offering customers insurance policies that that they do not want or cover that they do not need. Our customers answer a small number of eligibility questions which narrows down the products that are available to them, we then present the key benefits of the packages on offer and allow the customer to decide which one is right for them.

The employment opportunities on offer are permanent roles, individuals wishing to join us will be employed on flexible contracts.

Minimum hours 28 - Maximum 40 Ideal 37.5 Shift patterns are worked around the needs of the business and will be variable over our opening hours which are currently 9am 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am 2pm on a Saturday.

We would also be very happy to consider candidates looking for part time work as long as their availability compliments the needs of the business, although commitment to a minimum of 25 hours a week during the training process would be required.

Training for the role is paid as a lump sum of £500 (subject to tax and NI where relevant) upon its completion where the candidate is signed off as competent and able to carry out the role.

Average annual salary based on 37.5 hours per week at £8.50 £16,575.00 or £8.00 £15,600 (Pro rata for part time workers)
