There's a lot to get your head around in the role but, broadly speaking, you'll be representing a hugely popular worldwide brand (and multi-billion dollar business) in a pivotal international tax role, with duties that span from tax planning, compliance, advisory, reporting, and transfer pricing.

As an overview, this is a mixed operational and advisory role that would be perfect for a Big 4 trained tax specialist making their first industry move. But, at the same time, a seasoned in-house tax professional could bring a completely different skill set and equally add value in this position.

About You

The tax technical experience needed is a given, and you'll know if you can work at this level.

What's more important, is that you have patience, willingness, and an open mind. It will be tempting to expect you could hit the ground running. However, your biggest challenge will not only be the complex tax work assigned to you, but committing yourself to understanding the full nature of the business and the various functions of all the different units.

This takes time (and patience).

It's part of the package with industry tax roles... You'll be the tax expert, but to earn this status you'll need to be an expert on the business. This is where you'll truly add value.

Through patience, willingness, and an open mind, you will see yourself develop over the next 12 months develop into a completely different tax professional than you are today.
