An exciting opportunity to join the Staff team at Daubeney House in Bognor Regis has arisen.

Daubeney House is a registered care home that provides 24-hour support to people with significant mental health needs. The aim is to enable people to gain greater independence over their lives, to set and help achieve personal goals and aspirations, to promote social inclusion and to facilitate the involvement of clients in all aspects of the running and development of the service. We mainly focus on Service Users who have schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders and psychosis.

Daubeney House operates as an intentional community, and as such we have a strong focus on Service User involvement. The service is open 24/7 providing support, motivation and activities to help members manage their mental health in constructive ways, all residents have individual support through key working sessions.

We are currently seeking an individual with a strong background of working within the care sector, preferably within mental health to work as the Assistant Manager.

The post holder will work closely with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the service on a day to day basis. This will include overseeing the rota, a good understanding of the management role & the ability to supervise staff effectively.

The ability to work under their own initiative and have excellent organisational and inter-personal skills to support staff to meet all the requirements of their role.

This includes assessing and managing risk in the service, CQC and Health & Safety compliance as well as contributing to individual staff development.
