Working as a part of the Learning Disability Service, purchasing assistants will work in partnership with health and social care workers (who have written support plans with customers and their families/carers) and colleagues within the Learning Disability contracts team in order to purchase the agreed services.
Purchasing Assistants provide a reliable, efficient, flexible and high level administrative service.
The role includes:
-Responding to queries and giving advice to health and social care workers, in relation to specific purchases.
-Liaising with colleagues within the Learning Disability Contracts Team and Financial Services.
-Fact finding in relation to disputed invoices and/or issues with payments.
Purchasing Assistants will provide support and day to day processing according to set procedures, using Mosaic and other IT systems to collect date and monitor customer expenditure to ensure it falls within agreed levels.
