About the Role
MYT exists to improve the life chances of young people. This post is critical to achieving outcomes for young people and communities in East Sussex in line with the Theory of Change (currently being reviewed).
Located within the Youth Employability Service (YES), postholders will support the team of Skills and Employability Advisers (SEA) to enable change and progressions for young people aged 15-24, especially those from vulnerable groups. Postholders will be flexible and willing to undertake duties outside of traditional working hours and have ability to travel across East Sussex to fulfil the role.
As the face of the Youth Employability Service the postholder will provide frontline support to young people through drop in sessions based across the county. The postholder will assess the needs of individuals and work with the YES Manager to provide timely and effective transitions to an SEA as needed. The Youth Support Adviser will have the opportunity to co facilitate some group work through the Duke of Edinburgh award and employability workshops. The postholder will support the YES Manager in the coordination of the tracking process and will take part as relevant.
The postholder will ensure delivery meets all contractual requirements and quality standards including for recruitment, retention, achievement and progression of participants. The postholder will ensure all data is recorded as per contractual requirement.
Additional Information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
