We are looking to recruit a Head of School, who will work closely with the Executive Principal. You will play a pivotal role in a committed team and make a real impact on the outcomes of our pupils. As a senior leader at Ark Castledown you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring teaching staff, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning to all pupils, helping them to achieve the best academic results they can. You will also act as a role model to pupils and strive to inspire a love of learning in all.

The successful candidate will form part of the senior leadership team which will be made up of the Executive Principal for Ark Blacklands, Ark Little Ridge and Ark Castledown Primary Academies, Head of School, Deputy Headteacher and Inclusion Manager.

The successful candidate will:

- Have experience and a strong track record of successful senior leadership.

- Have made a significant contribution to developing a school that provides an outstanding education for its students (ideally in a challenging urban environment) through its leadership, ethos, teaching and results.

- Have a demonstrable track record of success as an outstanding classroom practitioner.

- Be able to model the principles of effective teaching and learning to a high standard.
