Court Lane Junior School, Portsmouth

35 hours 40 weeks

Court Lane Junior School joined the University of Chichester Academy Trust in September 2016 and is a large and successful school, in the northern part of Portsmouth.  The school has a strong sense of community for the 480 pupils with a set of shared values underpinning the life of the school.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will have the confidence to deliver engaging and motivational lessons to whole class groups from foundation stage to key stage 2.  In addition, we are looking for someone who is well organised and confident in dealing with pupils in a classroom situation with the ability to support pupils in behaving positively and a passion for educating children and young people.  You will have the ability to work collaboratively and be able to demonstrate initiative, adaptability and flexibility.

With experience of working with children, ideally in a primary age setting, you will have excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to communicate with pupils and a wide range of people including parents, carers and outside agencies.  You will be resilient and hard working with the ability to work on your own initiative while understanding the need to work as part of a cohesive team.

The school is proud to be part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust providing you with access to additional opportunities and benefits. All academies within the Trust have a unique identity, but a shared belief in creating a positive and enriching environment, where staff feel valued.

Closing date:   25th September 2017 at 12 noon

Interview date: w/c 2nd October 2017

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged and welcomed; please ring the School office to arrange an appointment.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
