Worthing Churches Homeless Projects is a multifunctional, complex needs homelessness organisation that works in Worthing and the surrounding areas. It has over 75 staff and 260 volunteers. Its mission is to end the need to sleep rough. 

The Community Inclusion Lead post works alongside specialist support at the Worthing Community hub to focus on sustainable outcomes for WCHP clients once they have been resettled within the local community, including tenancy sustainment and access to community groups and support. The CI lead will deliver this in a variety of approaches including overseeing a be-friending service ran by volunteers for those vulnerably housed or in need of support, offering time to talk and access to local community groups. The CI lead will support clients to become peer mentors sharing their experience with others in order to support them to achieve their outcomes and offering daily Living Workshops in the training suite of the hub.

The CI lead offers weekly drop in sessions at another local hub, as well as local outreach service for advice and support. This includes areas such as benefits and housing matters. Working in partnership with Homelessness Prevention services such as local council officers and other voluntary organisations for tenancy sustainment advice and support in Worthing.

You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage and plan your own workload and meet deadlines and targets is essential. Good IT Skills are a must. You must have the ability to take responsibility and make difficult decisions in the face of dealing with challenging behaviour.
