Static Night Support Worker
Based in Worthing
37.5 hours per week
Salary: £21,119 per annum
You will share responsibility for the operation of our Worthing Foyer project for young people and adults aged 16 to 25 years, in accordance with YMCA DLG policies and procedures. An understanding of the needs of, and challenges posed by, young single homeless people is required.
You will provide a reception service as well as routinely checking the whole project, and help to keep the project quiet, safe and secure throughout the night. You will need to monitor guests through signing in and out and refusing entry to anyone compromising the safety of the project or residents, and be able to provide an emergency response to young people in crisis.
It is essential you maintain accurate records of contact with residents, through recording onto a database, incident reporting forms, and safeguarding reporting forms.
Experience of working with, together with an understanding of the needs of, young single homeless people is required.
You will work as part of a 4 nights on / 4 nights off rota.
