With you, with the child…Every step of the way

We’re working together as one professional team, in an environment based on high challenge and high support, creating more positive outcomes for the children and families in our care. As a leadership team we will stand at your side, supporting you every step of the way.

An opportunity for a Group Manager has arisen in our Family Support and Protection Service based in Worthing. You will have the responsibility for the line management of 3 practice managers who supervise between 5-7 social workers and child and family workers. You will be working alongside another Group Manager collectively having oversight of approximately 400 children. The Family Support and Protection service works with children subject to child protection plans and longer term child in need work. Permanence for our children is key and there is a strong drive in maintaining pace with planning through the public law outline. Our practice framework is based on Signs of Safety underpinned by knowledge of attachment and the impact of developmental trauma on children and families – all staff receive training and support to implement these approaches Our aim is to ensure that there is an improvement in outcomes for all the children we support and that is sustainable. The child’s experience is at the heart of our service: which means that everything we do and the way we do it can be explained in terms of impact and best outcomes for the child. As a Group manager you will be responsible for ensuring the principles and objectives of the service are delivered operationally and you will contribute to the senior management strategic vision for the Family Support and Protection Service and also the wider Children Social Care vision.
