General Adviser, Governor Services Lead

West Sussex School Effectiveness Service seeks an adviser with two key areas of responsibility: to support school governing bodies across West Sussex through their development and in difficult periods; to provide leadership and management to the Governor Services team in their work of training and support to school governing bodies.

The successful person will be an integral part of the School Effectiveness Service, working with Link Advisers to schools in identifying the training and support needs of governing bodies, and providing creative approaches to school governance issues, including sitting on Interim Executive Boards where necessary.

We are looking for a person with excellent experience in governance, school leadership and creative troubleshooting, as well as having a proactive approach to building positive relationships and a good training style.
