Coastal West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to promoting mental well-being in local communities and supporting the recovery and independence of individuals we provide support to. This is an exciting opportunity to expand to our service supporting young adults aged 16-25 years to serve a new area, working in partnership with Sussex Oakleaf.

Successful applicants will outreach into young people’s settings to develop and provide recovery focused 1:1 and group support and learning opportunities, as well as overseeing and developing peer led support for young adults. As well as having experience of working with young people with mental health problems post-holders will also need to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for recovery focused mental health work and show that they can be a strong team player with real commitment to their work. They will need to be able to work with minimum supervision, have initiative and be able to contribute to the direction and development of the young people’s services within the organisation.

The post will initially be based in Worthing but the successful applicant will expected to travel and work effectively across the rural Chanctonbury area.

his post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
