Salary circa £28,000-36,000pa (possibly bonus / car)

A rapidly expanding and highly successful organisation based in Littlehampton is currently seeking a driven, ambitious individual to take on the newly created role of Operations Manager in their thriving business. This person will oversee daily operations, personnel management, and warehouse / systems development. The role would suit a capable, all-round Operations Manager who is motivated by success, comfortable implementing new procedures and leading staff.

Key responsibilities:

• Management of warehousing requirements, stock storage and rotation.
• Keeping employees motivated and organising appropriate training, appraisals, disciplinary action, recruitment, promotion etc.
• Overseeing daily order work flow; order picking, packing and dispatch.
• Development of staff KPI controls for both dispatch and customer service.
• Management of customer service, issue escalation and resolution.
• Management of customer feedback and online perception.
• Health and safety.
• Development of warehouse stock control systems, stock booking in systems and dispatch systems.
• Development of mechanisation and reviewing and approving equipment needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant commercial experience of managing daily company operations, personnel, and warehouse activities.
• A strong customer service focused attitude.
• Experience of logistics both inbound and outbound.
• The ability to formulate budget proposals for HR, warehousing and logistics.
• Professionalism and clear, confident communication skills. They need to be able to work with other department heads to assess the needs of the company including cost saving incentives, forward looking HR requirements, and space / capacity requirements.
