As a service we support people with learning disabilities who have support needs in a variety of ways including communication, mobility and health, autism, and challenging behaviour. We support our service users to live fulfilling lives and to be as independent as possible.
We are looking for people who are motivated to support people to learn new skills and develop their independence, be comfortable supporting people with personal care, and have good communication skills to build positive relationships with service users, their families and other professionals.
If you enjoy helping people and want to make a difference to their lives, and you feel you have the skills required, we would very much like to hear from you.
You will be very well supported in your role through supervision and training. Training covers a range of courses include Manual handling, Food hygiene, Infection control and more specialised courses such as Positive behaviour support, Makaton, Inclusive Communication, Mental capacity and the level 2&3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Regular supervision, mentoring and support will be provided for you from your management team.
