About the Role

NHS Hastings and Rother CCG and Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford CCG are looking to appoint a Senior Communications Manager.

The CCGs are working in partnership with East Sussex County Council to deliver our ambitious transformation programme, East Sussex Better Together. We are working together to make sure we use our collective resources to achieve the best possible services for local people. Our ambition is to develop a fully integrated health and care system locally by 2018, ensuring local people can enjoy proactive, joined up care that supports them to live as independently as possible and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Communications is critical to our success in transforming health and care for local people. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of proactively leading communications during a time of significant change; with the local people and staff across the local health and care system, including our GP membership and wide range of partner organisations and stakeholders.

In partnership with East Sussex County Council colleagues, you will take a strategic lead on how we promote the East Sussex Better Together transformation programme. This will include development of strategic communications and PR plans; working with the media; providing communications advice and support to improvement projects within the programme; and internal communications with staff and member practices; and management of our communications team.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
