The ideal candidate will have had experience in working in an ECaR school and be familiar with the principles of intervention. They will be a good observer of what children can do and have some knowledge of strategies which will foster children’s independent problem solving.
We are looking for someone with a good sense of humour, with a love of books, who can engage children in literacy based activities with lots of patience and a nurturing nature.
Previous experience in supporting children in a Primary School is desirable.
Visits to the school are encouraged and welcomed.
Grade: NJC Scale 3 (TA); NJC Scale 1/2 Living Wage (MDSA), pro-rata
Hours per week: 27.5 + 2.5 MDSA duties, term-time only
Paid weeks per year: 46.2 (TA); 42.8 (MDSA), inclusive of holiday entitlement
Start date: September 2016 until 25th July 2017 to cover maternity leave
