Salary: 27,394 to 29,854 Permanent, Full time Based in Worthing 37 hours per week Interview date: 04 - 05/07/2016

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who is qualified to NVQ level 2/3 in Arboriculture or equivalent and ideally has a BETC National Diploma in this field or similar. A proven track record in lieu of formal qualifications may be considered. You will have the ability to work independently in order to assess highway trees in all seasons; and provide technical support to other sections.

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out a condition surveys of trees within West Sussex. You will record all aspects of the tree stock covering a large area of West Sussex. You will identify defects and hazards and initiate any appropriate actions.

Alongside good organisational skills you should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills thus being able to meet deadlines. Knowledge of IT systems would be advantageous. The ability to travel around the county often to remote locations and the ability undertake tree inspections are essential.
