The Pines is based in Worthing and supports adults with varying degrees of Learning and Physical Disability to access focussed activates in the centre and local community.

We have a strong person-centred approach to our practice evidenced by our review procedures and process of individual evaluation. Through the development of relevant living skills and appropriate social interaction and by focussing on our customer’s in a person-centred way ensuring they are in the forefront of any changes that may affect their development and changing needs.

There will be at times a need to support individual personal care and day to day well being of the customers, this is an active role and there may be a need for support within manual handling but full training will be given.

The centre is open Monday to Friday 8;30 - 4 pm, there may at times be a need to support the escort role after the centre closes to transport customers home.

This role will be primarily working within the Life Skills Group but there be a need to be flexible to meet the needs of the whole service. Within this role there is also the primary role to supervise a team of staff with support from the assigned Care Officer.

Responsibilities include running focused activities which will include evaluation, Involvement of Risk Assessments and guidelines within each activity.


A full clean driving License is required with D1 desirable.
