The Pines, Worthing, is a day service for adults with varying degrees of Disability including Learning Disabilities and Physical Disabilities. We provide assessed day care within a structured programme of activities within three areas of Specialism: Complex/Focus Group Life Skills Group STAR Group (Striving Towards an Active Retirement) An opportunity has arisen for a Grade 5 Support Worker within the Complex/Focus Group. You will work with customers, parents and carers and other stakeholders in meeting the needs of each customer being supported within the unit. Experience of working and directing teams is desirable as the role will focus on directing and supervising the Support Worker teams day to day activities. You will also be required to support the lead Care Officers in ensuring that all processes and paperwork are completed therefore good organisational skills are essential. The role includes running and evaluating session plans with the service. In this role you will be required to support all aspects of daily care such as dietary needs and personal care, including manual handling tasks.
