My client is a world class manufacturing company based in Sussex who are looking to appoint an Inventory Controller to support the team. You will be Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and you will be responsible for executing inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximises stock system and paperwork accuracy. You will be responsible for working with purchasing, goods inwards and dispatch. As well as supporting the production teams in accurate kitting activity, in support of pre-determined production forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the company's inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalising inventory and maximising available working capital
• Manage and maintain the company's material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations
• Implement, manage and control cycle inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks. (This activity will be performed in partnership with the finance team).
• Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw and component materials to maximize availability of working capital
• Ensure that goods inward / stock control department is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.
• Ensure materials are ready and available for production as and when required.
• Ensure sub contract processes are received back and that suppliers are chased to ensure no late delivery situation
• Maintain sub-contract inventory listings for materials held off site and supplier premises

We are looking for an individual who has experience of engineering/manufacturing related procurement and stock holding concepts. You will have the ability to develop and implement an Inventory management theory and communication of objectives in a clear manner to the organisation.
