Harvey John is delighted to be recruiting the position of Financial Controller for an award winning manufacturing business based on the south coast. The company enjoys an enviable position in its market, is investing over £10m to drive it through its next stage of growth and is now strengthening its senior management team.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be:

* Professionally qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA, preferably with public practice and/or a manufacturing background
* Already experienced within a Financial Controller or senior finance role now looking to step up in responsibilities within a larger organisation
* First class presentation and communication skills and comfortable in liaising with all levels of stakeholders as well as non-finance staff
* Staff management experience in terms of work allocation, motivation, training and development, happy in the detail but with vision to see and be involved in the bigger picture
* Strong systems experiences to include advanced Excel
* Comfortable and experienced in technical accounting, dealing with external advisors and working under pressure

Working closely with the Finance Director and taking a lead in the day to day management of the finance department, you will be joining a business that is well positioned within their niche market and one that has gone through a period of positive change over the past few years.

About the role:

* Work collaboratively with a driven and personable Finance Director as part of the senior management team
* Ensure the on time preparation of monthly management accounts and reports
* Provide key financial information and analysis to senior management to enable a balanced and objective assessment of the company's results, strategy and objectives
* Effectively manage the working capital components of the company with specific attention to debtors, payables and cash balances
* Manage, motivate and develop the Finance team
* Assist with the implementation of a change culture by challenging & replacing established processes and procedures where necessary
* Liaise with other areas of the business to ensure the Finance team is supporting the needs of the business
