Assistant Financial Controller, AM4604, Lancing

9 Month Maternity Cover (full time), £25,000 to £30,000 DOE + Benefits



A well established and leading organisation – recognised within its market as one of the largest in the UK – is currently looking for an experienced accounts professional to join their West Sussex team on a maternity cover until October 2015.



About You:

* Ideally you will be part qualified or qualified, however candidates that are QBE will still be considered.
* Strong background of working with Excel and accountancy systems.
* Able to use initiative and work to tight deadlines.
* Experience in coaching or training junior staff.



About the Role:

* Reporting to the Financial Controller and deputise in their absence.
* Responsible for managing agreed expenditure budgets.
* Preparing management information and statistical reporting for the Financial Controller.
* Overseeing the Credit Control and Purchase Ledger functions.
* Providing statistical reports and reconciling the trial balance and nominal ledger as part of the monthly procedures.
* Create KPI and cash flow reviews for the Financial Controller.
* Managing the VAT processes, including reconciliations and quarterly returns.
