Setter – West Sussex - £22000pa-£27000pa

Our Client specialise in the moulding of very high volumes of components in a selection of core plastic materials. They now require an experienced Setter to join their business.

Job Responsibilities;

• To set production machinery and equipment to achieve the correct output rate in order to complete the production plan and ensure the on time delivery of goods.

• To manufacture product to the required quality standards and record data as determined by the relevant quality standards and specifications.

• Adhere to company health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

• Play an active role in maintaining housekeeping standards to ensure safety and adherence to the company's 5S programme.

• Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.

• To work as part of a team to help and support others and provide proactive communication to highlight problems or opportunities for improvement.

Job Experience;

• Experience in injection moulding machines is essential as is a knowledge and hands-on experience of setting and operating similar manufacturing equipment.

• The job holder will be skilled in operating assembly or moulding machinery.

• Although no formal qualifications are required for the role, an apprenticeship or NVQ certified training course within a manufacturing discipline would be highly advantageous.

• Also, certified training in setting and operating manufacturing equipment would be desirable.

Education/Qualifications;

• GCSE or equivalent level of education.
• Apprenticeship, NVQ or certified training in a manufacturing discipline.
• Certified training in setting and operating relevant equipment.
