A full time Community Connector role has become available at The Oak Community Project in Rustington. The Oak Community Project has been developed within a community Inclusion Ethos of supporting individuals with a Learning Disability to be supported within their own community to develop key life skills and to participate actively within their community. You will underpin the development of an inclusive and enablement approach within the service. The primary function is to support customers to transition into alternative provisions and to be less reliant on static day services. You will also be part of the senior management team structure so you will be included as part of a duty rota, supervising team members and overseeing the day to day running of the service in the absence of Managers. You will focus on connecting with the local community and partnership working so to develop and support within the service the opportunity for customers to participate in their community with active engagement and projects. There is a need to travel so a full clean Driving Licence is essential and your own car. A D1 to drive a mini bus is desirable also.
