Team Leader – East Sussex - £17000-£18000pa

Our Client specialise in the moulding of very high volumes of components in a selection of core plastic materials. They now require a Team Leader to join their business.

The successful candidate will liaise with the Production Supervisor to ensure day to day shop floor production orders run smoothly.

Job Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities for this role include making certain that day to day shop floor production orders run smoothly, organising staff workloads, carrying out component quality checks and completing related data. You will be required to train, develop and mentor new employees, including the required use of the QF25 (quality document for production packaging). You will also be required to make sure that Health & Safety standards, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements are maintained throughout the shop floor at all times.

Skills Range:

A good understanding of manufacturing processes including knowledge of injection moulding and quality standards is required. The job holder will be quality focused, have a pro-active attitude, a good attention to detail and be a strong team worker.

Job experience:

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, including problem solving and experience of supporting the production lines at all times. Knowledge of injection moulding and quality standards would be of great advantage. Proven experience of managing or leading people is essential.

Education / Qualifications

• Good grades at GCSE or equivalent level in Maths and English.
