Healthwatch West Sussex is the established consumer champion for health and social care in West Sussex and a ground breaking Social Enterprise. It has been formed to deliver the Heathwatch service which Help & Care and the two West Sussex Citizens Advice Bureaux have been awarded by West Sussex County Council. At a local level, Healthwatch will work to help local people get the best out of their health and social care services, whether it’s improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow. Healthwatch West Sussex is all about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of services. Alongside Healthwatch England we will be influential in making a difference for local people. The Business Manager will support and guide the Chair of the independent Healthwatch Board to enable it to fulfil its contractual and statutory responsibilities as required by the Commissioners of the service. The role will assist the Board to develop Heathwatch as a consumer service focusing on Health and Social Care. Candidates will need to have a thorough understanding of statutory, voluntary and community sections; experience of providing governance & compliance support; be able to produce reports for contract monitoring and service level agreements, and have knowledge of effective communication and marketing strategies.
