Stanhope Lodge is a busy service which supports Adults with learning disabilities, either resident at Stanhope Lodge or short break customers.

As a senior support worker you will cover the role of duty officer, managing the shift and sleeping in on call when required, as well as having your own delegated area and individual team members to formally supervise. You must have significant experience of working with Adults who have disabilities and experience of planning and developing opportunities for customers. This role will include working directly with customers whose behaviours may challenge, and experience of the principles of positive behaviour support and communication through behaviours is desirable. You will need good communication skills and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations using your own initiative and guiding a team. Previous knowledge of health & safety, manual handling, adult safeguarding is required.

You will benefit from induction upon commencement and training specific to the role. You will be required to work a combination of early and late shifts, including alternate weekends.

Salary £23,188 to £25,727 per annum
