An exciting opportunity to work as part of the School Admissions team whose statutory work is to ensure that all children receive a school place at the correct time, this include Starting School, Junior and secondary transfer and In Year admissions. You will need excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, a strong interest in IT and database as this role will involve testing when upgrades are needed. Person ideally have experience in training and supervising staff in their work . This is a part time post and hours would be agreed to the needs of the service. Previous Local authority or government experience would be an advantage. You will need to develop a full knowledge of the School Admissions and related legislation. The post involves speaking to parents, schools and other agencies. Working as part of a team is essential.
